How Did I get Into Gundam

Reply to rrobert184's video of "How Did You Get Into Gundam?" I'm not going to talk long in a video since I'm kinda busy these days. So I have my words written here. And might have some wrong spelling too if you don't mind.

Now I started when I'm around 10 or 11 years old. I don;t know about Gundam until one of my primary friend introduced it to me. He gave me a magazine and I read it. I saw the Gundam page and it's quite interesting. My first impression to it is like a fancy robot but later I think it's more like a human like. Especially the head had the V fin. The mouth which has two lines represent it's lips. And everything else just like robot. And slowly it got my attention to it. Know not much to it, just a nice human looking robot made by Japan. But slowly I learned they have different names. What cool is I saw a bunch of SD models in my friend's room. That make me want to get a model for myself.

Later on, I first Gundam Anime was SEED. Which kinda make me more into it. Until I saw Strike Gundam and until now I still like it. Lot's of it's inner frame can be seen which make it more mechanism. One day, I went to Toy's Ur and that time Gundam SEED was quite HOT in there. I got my very first model kit NG 1/144 Strike Gundam. I thought it has nice articulation but I was wrong. But still I like it. And since I'm still a beginner, I not a good painter and simply use various markers and coloured it up. Look clownish! As a pure collector, you never sell your model or keep it nicely. I still keeping it and make it as Battle Damage looking. later I was more into SEED after witness the Freedom Gundam. Now that's how I got my username for. XD After sometimes, I got a birthday presents form my Uncle and Aunt. A HG 1/144 Freedom Gundam and HGUC 1/144 Super Gundam. I wasn't a fan of HGUC when I'm still small. Of course I start buld with HG Freedom first. But it was broken since I kept toying with it. After some years, I start to buy a Gundam with my very own hard earned money. A NG 1/100 scale Sword Strike Gundam. Reasons I got it just because it has the nice long sword and the grapple thingy on it's left hand. But now it's just a pile of junks. Also broken.

My first mode kit NG 1/144 Strike Gundam and "junkpla" of my NG 1/100 Swrod Srtike Gundam.

Not long I started to lost interest on it for some reasons. I stop collecting them for almost 2 years until I see the Youtube videos. Prime92's, zversus's, 920306915003's, Akatsuki030's, PokemonGN001's (GN00Raiser), tolentolen's, 2Old4Toys's, vegeta8259's videos. And others stop motion videos that make my gundam Spirit back to life! And that's how I join in Youtube. I just signed up for fun until I felt kinda waste if I left it there without videos. And I start recording videos, make stop motions and showing my Gunplas. My first met youtuber with Ken a.k.a. 920306915003. We met and I bought back my HG 1/144 Freedom Gundam and Throne Eins. From that day on, every gunpla I collected is my earned money or pocket money. Slowly I know the ZeroG forum which introduced by Akatsuki030 which a great forum to me. Making me fire up and start WIP. But I felt that I should have buy more markers and gunpla tools instead of Gunplas only. So now I bought more tools instead of model kits. It explain why I got less Gunpla these lately. It's not only to make your Gunpla models to look nice, but showing how much effort you out on it. I don't like paint but I colour it with Gundam Markers. Once that's a guy said paint is better then markers and markers is suck. Well, I'm kinda disagree with that. I proved it by using only markers in my HG 1/144 Gundam Rasiel D Custom. 100% Gundam Markers to it.

I also collect Dengeki Hobby.

Painting and coloring make your Gunpla and could show how much effort you put in it.

I never throw the boxes. I will keep it and always keep my Gunplas in it when cleaning my room.

The markers, spray can and other stuffs I used for my Gunplas.

I'm stopping my collection again next year 2010. I want to focus more on my next year biggest exam in my life, SPM. It's more like one of my important exam in Malaysia. To pass that exam, I want to stop collecting for one year or for few months. So I can save up some budget either. LoL! That's about it. I have more to write but this is the main point. Thanks for viewing it. Have a nice day.

WIP for my Seravee GNHW/B [Modding Arms]

[Modding Arms]

Recently I got my HG 1/144 Seravee Gundam GNHW/B. So, I got gunplas to WIP with instead starring at the Monitor PC. Actually I got bunch of WIP works to work with with but just want to finish up those normal build first. Later will work on those advanced WIP.

So starting to mod abit for my Seravee's arms. Going to insert a beam saber in it just like the anime. NG 1/100 scale got that features but why not in HG? T_T

Cut some parts inside the arms. Testing out whether it fits. Cut short on the GN Beam Saber.

Cut some blockage peg on the arms.

Ta~dah! It's inside now, Don't mind if it's ugly holes. As long it's look nice to me.

Current built of my HG Seravee.

I was still thinking whether I should done the same to the other arms. May be I will. Oh, and I turn the yellow to gold which suitable to it more. Thanks for viewing, come back for some more updates to it!

Gunpla Shopaholics!

In December 10 in Thursday, I went out with Ken and Firdaus! We were like shopping for Gunplas. We meet each other 9am something. Later went almost every corner of Time Square to find models.

The stuffs I got!

Firdaus got his HG 1/144 Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice. Ken got himself a NG 1/100 Blitz Gundam. I got a FG 1/144 Primrose for just RM25! Really worth it! It's a limited kt. Firdaus found it but he doesn't want it for some reasons. So I bought it. Ken even gave me some of his unwanted Gundam Box of HG Exia, Dynames and Kyrios. I traaded a Ga Sha Pon Setsuna with his Ga Sha Pon Tsuruya! He even gave me some of his broken models which I really like them, gave me a decal of NG 1/100 Sword Strike Gundam and a Bumblebee poster. He even gave me a SD Zhao Yun Gundam for free. I rejected cause I got so many things from him but he still want me to keep it as a gift from him. He is the kindest friends I have ever had!
Around 1pm, it's time for us to go home. So happy to go out with them. But Firdaus look unhappy and quite bored out. Ken and I always talking to each others. I sometimes talks to Firdaus too.

The empty boxes I got!

I traded Setsuna with Tsuruya since I got an extra Setsuna.
Those broken kits I got from Ken! Totally lots of kit bash WIP to work with and I have a special mode for Kyrios! XD
There's all the stuffs I got. You can have a look of the completed post of this in my Daily Life Blog! Click here to view it! Thanks for viewing.

Weathering goal

[Weathering Goal]

I have finished my WIP on my FG 1/144 Gundam Exia Battle Damaged version. Not quite good. I'm trying to learn how to weathering it. Giving it a battle damaged effect. Bt everything just turn out to be good. I just colour the surface with balck markers, later rub it with my fingers. Or I just colour it on the cotton bud and just applied it. Still searching the web how to weathering. XD

Before and After

Done some additional battle damaged. Check below pictures!

Broken kneee joint. I placed a bicycle's parts (not sure what it is). So it looks more mechanical and look like a piston.

Placed a mini figure in Exia's cockpit. It's from MG bootlef Freedom. So it's Kira model. XD I thing I did it well. I hope to get more mini fugures.

To make it look broken pieces of the mirror, I added a Ga Sha Pon's transparent plastic capsule. Inside is a cap glue. I surprised a glue cap can be this useful! Just sliced off those blockage in the middle parts and later just put it in. Easy.

There's about it. I'm gonna continue my others WIP. New Zero Gunz Junior Power SD Groupbuild in ZeroGunz, I'm in! So I'm gotta buy a SD or rather just use my old SD fellas. Lot's of WIP post will be posted. I'll try my bet update it.

Thanks For Viewing!

WIP for Susanowo and others!

I apoplogize for not update for such long time. I'm being busy or you can say I'm lazy. I got few blogs to handle, hanging out with friends and drawing mechas. Finally I was able to completeD my Susanowo (Not Really). And these few days back, I participated Malaysia BAKUC Challenge 2009. Didn't win though but quite happy for some reasons.

Anway, here's the almost finish of my HG 1/144 Susanowo.

Added some blue and replace white to silver! Comments and Critics are welcome!

I also have work on some other WIP. That's why I always stress and didn't update blog. Lot's of things to do. I was inspired by Zero Gunz members! They are great in modeling! Very impressive. So I start mod my Gunplas too. Take a look these pictures.

FG 1/144 Gundam Exia Battle Damaged Version (Still in WIP) and HG 1/144 Seraphim Gundam ( On the way)

Some of you know I join BAKUC 2009. Here's my modded kit. HG 1/144 Gundam Rasiel D Custom. "D" stands for Dynames. Notice that most of the parts are from Dynames. Take quite long time to finish it, simple and felt happy about the finished project. I think I did a great job on it.

That's all about it. I did upload Malaysia BAKUC Challenge 2009 video in YouTube! Click here to check it out!
Thanks for watching, do come back for some updates. Still I'm busy but I'll try my best to update my blogs.

New Tools!

Yesterday morning around 10am, I went to Time Square to buy some Gunpla and tools. I got some useful tools too. Well, after reaching there, I will always take a look around there, later rush to 5th floor to find new Gunplas. Graffiti Toys is a shops load of various toys! Wtih reasonable prices too. Anime Tech, next to the shop sell lots of anime stuffs, mostly DVD, Action Figurs and Magazine. There I found Hobby Japan October Issue 2009 40 Anniversary! I been searching that for months. Because it comes with a HG Conversion Kit, XN Raiser! And best is they sell it for RM49 only! I got a friend in youtube, tenzeku123, bought it for RM80 at 7th floor, Time Machine. Not worth it. Plus since this book sell cheaper mainly is because it's chinese published. Instead original Japanese. But glad I got it! XD
Yup, Here's the box art and Magazine! Only RM49!

I bought two Gundam Markers GM10 "Black" and a pigment 0.1 pen for lining but not that good. Still prefer Faber Castell's Ecco Pigment Ink!

Bought a Mr. Hobby Mr. Colour Metallic Red and a Tamiya Colour Acrylic Paint X20A Thinner. Too bad normal paint brush not cooperating with them. Have to buy a set of paint brush again!
That's all. I will update when I free again. Continue my WIP and study for Final Exams! ><
